Usually I would try to make something special for my Birthday as a special thanks to everyone that has supported me over the years but this year is different. The year 2020 will be remembered as the year the whole world changed as the Covid-19 virus as affected everyone around the globe. A lot of lives have been lost & a lot of us have lost some of our loved ones & heroes. We're also dealing with a lot of madness & ugliness out here. Rest In Peace to Hamilton Bohannon, Tony Allen, Fred The Godson, Florian Schneider (co-creator of Kraftwerk), Andre Harrell (Dr. Jekyll/Uptown Records), Little Richard, & my brother, Ben "TY" Chijioke.

To tell you the truth, I really wasn't in the right mind to make something creative for my Birthday. I was too busy trying to adapt to the "new normal", with the Beat Junkie Institute Of Sound shutting down & shifting to learn how to teach DJ classes online. I was also trying to finish up the new Visionaries album (including the Rawlsmatic (J-Rawls & Rhettmatic) album & other projects) during the downtime and on top of that, making sure my Mom & myself are staying safe & healthy.

Instead of trying to push myself to create an album or a new mix, I decided to put up a few mixes that I have done in the past that were actually on Cassette Tapes & CDs; I'm sure a lot of people may not have some of these mixes but might have heard them either on my Soundcloud or Mixcloud pages. I also know that times are rough when it comes to the financial side of things because mostly everyone was affected with the "Safer-At-Home" lockdown all over the world & most of us don't have any income coming in because of no work (The DJ/Music community have been hit real hard), but if you have it in your heart & you actually have something in your budget, I appreciate the purchase of this mix bundle if you decide to make it (I like to think all these mixes for the price of one is a bang for you buck type of special). But most important, I hope these mixes (and other projects that I have on my Bandcamp page if you decided to purchase them as well) will give you some listening pleasure, a pep in your step, & a smile on your face. It is also Mother's Day today as well (Mamamatic told me I was born on Mother's Day so she told me I was a blessing to her & my Dad....I'm truly grateful), so Happy Mother's Day to all the Moms, Step Moms, Grandmoms, Single Moms, & Mother Figures around the world.
